Refund Policy
This Refund Policy (“Policy”) describes the refund and cancellation terms offered by Junnovate Limited, a company incorporated in Ireland (Company Number 784589, VAT Number IE 4416003MH), trading as Kodular, with its registered office at 24A Baggot Street Upper, Dublin, D04 N528, Ireland (“Kodular”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), in connection with paid Kodular services.
This Policy applies to Premium subscriptions and Kodular Monetize charges (activation fees and usage-based invoices). Revenue share from Google Ad Manager (the commission Kodular retains on advertising earnings) is not a payment made by you and falls outside the scope of this Policy. For full definitions of the services referenced herein, see the Terms of Service.
1. General Provisions
1.1 Refund Method
All approved refunds are issued to the original payment method via Stripe. Kodular does not offer account credits in lieu of refunds.
1.2 Processing Time
Refunds are typically processed within 5–10 business days after approval. The exact timing depends on your payment provider and financial institution.
1.3 How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, send an email to support@kodular.io including:
- The email address associated with your Kodular account
- A description of the refund request, including the service and charge in question
1.4 EU Consumer Rights
Under the EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU, consumers have a 14-day right of withdrawal for digital services. However, because Kodular’s digital services begin immediately upon purchase, you consent to waive this statutory cooling-off period at checkout. In place of the statutory right, Kodular offers voluntary goodwill refund windows as described in this Policy.
1.5 Chargebacks
If you have a concern about a charge, we encourage you to contact support@kodular.io before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank. Contacting us directly allows for faster resolution and avoids the delays and fees associated with the dispute process.
2. Premium Subscriptions
2.1 Goodwill Refund Window
If you are not satisfied with your Premium subscription, you may request a full refund within 72 hours of your initial, first-time purchase, no questions asked. This goodwill refund is strictly limited to first-time subscribers and does not apply to subsequent purchases or returning subscribers.
2.2 Cancellation
You may cancel your Premium subscription at any time through the Stripe billing portal, accessible from My Kodular. Upon cancellation, access to Premium features continues until the end of the current billing period. No pro-rata refund is issued for unused time remaining in that period.
2.3 Automatic Renewals
Premium subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle at the then-current price. The 72-hour goodwill refund window described in Section 2.1 does not reset upon renewal. All renewal charges are final and non-refundable. To avoid being charged for a renewal, you must cancel your subscription before your current billing cycle ends.
2.4 Plan Changes
No refund is issued when switching to a shorter billing cycle or reverting to the free tier mid-period. The change takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
3. Kodular Monetize
3.1 Activation Fee
The one-time Monetize activation fee is refundable within 14 days of payment, provided that identity verification has not yet reached a final state (approved or rejected). Once verification is completed — whether approved or rejected — the activation fee is non-refundable, as the verification service has been consumed.
If your verification is rejected, the fee is retained. You may contact support@kodular.io to discuss your options, but you are not entitled to a refund in this circumstance.
3.2 Usage-Based Charges
Usage charges represent services already delivered and measured. Invoices for consumed usage are not eligible for refund.
If you believe an invoice contains an error (for example, incorrect event counts), you may contact support@kodular.io to request a review. Corrections to confirmed billing errors are processed as adjustments on a subsequent invoice, not as refunds.
Overdue invoices suspend your ability to compile new builds through Kodular Creator; payment of the outstanding amount restores access. See Terms of Service section 10.5 for details.
4. Exclusions
Refunds are not available in the following circumstances:
- Account termination for policy violations — accounts terminated for violation of the Terms of Service or Acceptable Use Policy
- Fully performed or consumed services — services that have been fully delivered, including completed identity verifications and consumed usage
- Requests outside the refund window — requests made after the applicable refund window stated in this Policy has expired
- Price changes or promotional differences — a service was purchased at full price before a subsequent promotion, or a price change occurred after your purchase
- Third-party service dissatisfaction — dissatisfaction with third-party services integrated through the Platform, such as advertising network performance, ad fill rates, or app store policies
